Tweety, mentor and favorite teacher of Sweetie

Tweety Bird is a Looney Tunes star who now teaches at Acme Looniversity. He is the mentor and favorite teacher of Sweetie Bird. On the Looney Tunes shorts, he is usually depicted as Granny's pet canary and one of Sylvester the Cat's archenemies.

Tweety is voiced by Jeff Bergman on Tiny Toon Adventures.

Tweety appears briefly in the Season 1 premiere, The Looney Beginning, during Bugs' song about Acme Looniversity. He is seen in Villain Whopping Class, whacking Sylvester with a shovel and saying, "Bad old puddy tat!"

In Animaniacs, Tweety is seen with the rest of the Looney Tunes characters, and says, "I tawt a taw a puddy tat!". Like the other Looney Tunes characters (save for Daffy and Porky, who get stopped by Bugs), he runs away when Bugs announces it is time to judge the Acme Looniversity student film festival.

Tweety appears briefly in Who Bopped Bugs Bunny?, where he is seen sitting in his cage, and was about to get eaten by Sylvester, but Granny saves him by whacking Sylvester with her umbrella.

In the How Sweetie It Is episode segment, Let's Do Lunch, Tweety instructs Sweetie on how to taunt and anger a cat into wanting to eat her (in Sweetie's case, it's Furrball). Tweety uses a full-sized drawing of Sylvester to demonstrate, which he does so by repeatedly smacking the drawing (which appears to be alive and feeling pain from the hits) with a pointer stick. The drawing of Sylvester is infuriated and leaps off of the paper, chasing Tweety around the classroom until Tweety has to knock him out with the pointer stick. Thus, proving his point to Sweetie to be correct. This is the only time we see Tweety and Sweetie together.

Tweety makes a cameo appearance in Tiny Toon Spring Break as one of Elmyra's many captive pets.

Trivia

• Like Elmer Fudd, Tweety Bird is known for pronouncing his "L"s and "R"s like "W"s.
