Our story beings with Buster, Babs, and Plucky bored at the Tiny Toons Rehearsal Hall
Andrea Romano begins the meeting
Babs is sick of comedy, saying she's a famous star, not a whoopee cushion...
...which the Anthropomorphic Whoopee Cushion resents
Buster agrees with her and wants something more adventurous as well
Plucky wants to play a selfish, loud-mouth egomaniac (which, as Buster and Babs point out, he already is).
Buster, Babs, and Plucky go to Mr. Cooper DeVille to tell them their idea, Dawn of Despair...
...starring Babs as Daphne Despair...
...Buster as Lance Copperhead...
...and Plucky as Duke Pluckius
Buster, Babs, and Plucky are all dejected when they hear Mr. DeVille hates their idea
Cooper decides to give Buster, Babs, and Plucky each their own director's office
Babs holds a meeting witht he staff members about their new cartoon idea...
...needless to say, the staff is not up to the task
"There is free ice cream for everyone! That's right, free ice cream inside!"
When Buster, Babs, and Plucky pitch their ideas to the writers, the writers keep interrupting them...
...so they decide to have the cartoon solely written by them
After finding several comedic gags, they find a dusty, old book covered in cobwebs at the back of the drawer
Buster, Babs, and Plucky write their script...
...and they finish it...
...but now they have to trim it down to just 10 pages...
...so Plucky brings the script to the editor
Babs has all the women on her team...
...Buster has all the men on his...
...and Plucky has all the leftovers
One of the storyboard artists tries to add comedy to Dawn of Despair...
...needless to say, Babs is not impressed with these changes
"Faster! Cheaper!"
Never ask Buster for more money when animating one of his cartoons
"Anyone else want more money?!"
Plucky tries to speed up the process with a Zerox photocopier
Buster, Babs, and Plucky drive a bulldozer to push their finished cartoon to the Camera Room...
...only to find the Camera Operator is on vacation...
...so they try to operate the giant camera themselves...
...needless to say, they didn't get it on the first try...
...so they decide to skip to the next scene...
...where their film is finished
Babs, dressed as Norma Desmond, expects a worldwide audience
Cooper DeVille tells Babs he needs to approve the cartoon before it's shown to the world...
...and while he views it in the screening room...
...Babs has other plans
"Is that Tiny Toons?"
Needless to say, the Boy, Girl, and even the Dog are disgusted by Dawn of Despair
The sports fans in the bleachers watch the baseball game...
...but are disgusted when it is interrupted by Dawn of Despair
Mr. DeVille's seething with rage...
...but secretly, he found Dawn of Despair so bad, it's good...
..and thanks Buster, Babs, and Plucky by letting them keep their jobs
