About the Woodpeckers[]
The University of Woodpeckers first appear at the beginning of the episode, facing off against Hamton, Furrball, Saul Sheepdog, and Plucky. Hamton passes the football to a scared Plucky, and after he, Furrball, and Saul run away, the University of Woodpeckers peck Plucky into the ground and laugh.
Trivia[]
- The University of Woodpeckers are parodies of Woody Woodpecker, a cartoon character who was created in 1940 by Ben "Bugs" Hardaway, who also created Bugs and Daffy, and Woody was originally voiced by Mel Blanc, who was also the voice of most of the Looney Tunes characters. The University of Woodpeckers also laugh in a similar way to Woody.
