Music Day is the 14th episode of the third season of Tiny Toon Adventures, the 91st in production, and the 92nd episode overall.

Wraparounds

It's Music Day and the Tiny Toons introduce the episode segments about their musical adventures. In the first wraparound, they are playing at a proscenium theatre. Buster is on drums, Babs on saxophone, Fifi on harp, Banjo Possum on banjo, and Li'l Sneezer and Sweetie dancing on piano. Before the first cartoon begins, Buster claps the cymbals on Babs' head, then says to the viewers, "And I never had a lesson in my life."

In the second act, Buster and Babs build a fort of sandbags as Sneezer tries to play his trumpet, sneezing in the process.

In the third wraparound, Babs is outside the Acme Playhouse theatre, as she tells the viewers about various plays such as The Nutty Cracker, Monteo and Julieidiot, and her personal favorite, Loon Lake.

Episode Segments

Ruffled Ruffee

The episode begins with Buster Bunny practicing his electric guitar. At the Acme Park, Ruffee is performing a concert for young children, but is suddenly interrupted by Buster's electric guitar. Annoyed, he bans Buster from playing it.

To get revenge, Buster attends Ruffee's concert, dressed as a baby, and throughout the cartoon, attempts to spoil it. During "The Animal Song", Buster chooses animals that aren't particularly known for making sounds, such as a giraffe and a three-toed sloth. Ruffee decides to sing a new song, "The Body Song", and he chooses Buster to be the drummer. Buster speeds up the beat, causing Ruffee to explode.

Ruffee decides his last song will be one where nobody but him knows the words. Buster jumps up and kisses Ruffee, much to Ruffee's disgust. The song is "Baby Monkey", and Buster sneaks onstage with altered lyrics to make it sound like the baby monkey got hit and killed by a bus. This makes the children cry. Outraged at the sound of crying children, Ruffee tries to yell at Buster but instead yells at an actual baby, however he is completely oblivious to this until he is scolded by the baby's oversized father, and later beaten up.

Buster is onstage now, this time in his normal red shirt and his electric guitar, and ends the cartoon with the moral of the story, "Revenge isn't sweet kids, it's actually salty with just a twist of lime!". He plays his electric guitar, and the children dance along.

The Horn Blows at Lunchtime

Porky tells Li'l Sneezer to find a private place to practice his trumpet. Lil' Sneezer eventually finds a place, in the basement of Acme Looniversity. He is about to practice, but it is lunchtime. His mother has packed him stinky limburger cheese, and so he practices his trumpet while eating the cheese at the same time.

At the cafeteria, Plucky is about to tell a joke when Sneezer plays his trumpet. Babs assumes that Plucky farted, but Plucky tells her that it wasn't him. When Sneezer plays again, Plucky is worried it might actually have been him. He decides to blame Hamton, who is drinking a carton of milk. Embarrassed, Hamton shrinks and hides behind his milk carton.

Sneezer continues to play his trumpet, and everyone starts blaming each other for farting, causing a food fight as well. Yosemite Sam checks to see what's going on and when Sneezer plays his trumpet again, he leaves in embarrassment as the food fight continues. Buster finds Sneezer in the vent, and Plucky says, "Sneezer's the little stinker!" Sneezer tells him, "I've been practicing, Mr. Plucky, sir." He plays his trumpet gracefully to the tune of the Tiny Toons Theme Song, and everyone continues the food fight. Buster tells Sneezer, "Well, at least one of us came through lunch smelling like a rose," until a fruit whacks Sneezer in the face.

Loon Lake

Shirley the Loon attends Madame Jeté's Ballet Academy, a ballet school almost exclusively attended by swans from Perfecto Prep, such as Giselle. Madame Jeté tells Shirley that she will be excellent in the recital, but Giselle and her friends make fun of Shirley and say she isn't fit to dance on the same stage as them. Shirley overhears them and gets upset.

Babs notices Shirley upset, and Shirley tells her she should give up ballet. Babs tells her that she's teriffic, and asks her where she got those ideas. Shirley, about to cry, tells her about the swans, and Babs tells her not to listen to them, as she's better than they are. This stops her from crying.

The next night, at the Swan Lake recital, Babs encourages Shirley. Shirley tells the swans that they have to work together to get through the recital. One of the swans trips Shirley, but Babs tells Shirley that she doesn't have to stoop to their level. During the performance, the swans try to sabotage Shirley's dancing, but Babs sabotages theirs in retaliation. The audience is impressed, and Babs presents Shirley with a bouquet of roses. When one of the swans comes out of the hole and tries to attack Shirley, the curtain which says "The End" falls on her neck.
